What does it mean to be a rational ?

By A Bisht

Wordweb lexicon defines the word rational, as:

1. Consistent with or based on or using reason
2. Associated with or requiring the use of the mind
3. (math) capable of being expressed as a quotient of integers
4. Having its source in or being guided by the intellect (distinguished from experience or emotion)

As the word is an adjective--a word which gives more information about some other word; in short being rational means thinking with one's mind, when other factors compel you not to. This means rather than assessing things on face value, a rational person always tries dig deep.
On the social scene, being rational means doing thing which people consider insane and speaking things which people and religion consider blasphemous.
but being rational also means courage to speak one's mind and not to speak something just to appease the listener.
